Panel Instructions

Our engineer will provided the best PCB SMT assembly panel arrangement according to your design, also your request panel also acceptable.

We consider the material use ratio, and the margin between piece to piece for assembly. To provide the most reasonable solution for client.

But if our customers decide to panel by themselves, please refer to the following specification for a better SMT procedure.

Panellization Specification

1.PCB panel width ≤ 300mm for full automatic placement;

2.The shape of the PCB panel is as close to a square as possible, 2×2, 3×3 recommended;

3.The outer frame (clamping edge) of the PCB panel should adopt a closed-loop design to ensure that the PCB panel will not be deformed after being fixed on the fixture

4.The center between the unit piece is controlled between 75 mm and 145 mm;

5.There should be no large components or protruding components near the connection point between the outer frame of the panel and the inner unit pieces, and between the unit pieces. There should be a space of 0.5mm between the components and the edge of the PCB board to ensure that The cutting tool operates normally

6.Four positioning holes are opened at the four corners of the outer frame of the panel, with a diameter of 4mm±0.01mm. The strength of the holes should be moderate to ensure that they will not break during the process. The diameter and position accuracy should be high, and the hole wall should be smooth;

7.Each unit board in the PCB panel must have at least 3 positioning holes, 3≤diameter≤6mm, no trace or patch is allowed within 1mm of the edge positioning hole;

8.For the reference symbols used for the positioning of the entire PCB and the fine-pitch components, the QFP with a spacing of less than 0.5mm should be set at its diagonal position. The positioning reference symbols for the imposition unit PCB board should be used in pairs, at the opposite corner of the positioned feature;

9.When setting fiducial points, usually leave a 1.5 mm larger than the mask-free area around the anchor points;

10.Large components should have positioning posts or positioning holes, such as I/O interfaces, microphones, battery interfaces, micro switches, headphone jacks, motors, etc
